Decoding your material

Step 1: decoding the client's physical material sample

We work directly from your physical sample — analyzing its unique nuance, texture, and subtle undertones that no digital scan can capture.

Translating into silicone

Step 2: translating the material's tone into silicone

Silicone carries colour differently, so we interpret the tone with care until it feels natural in the material.

Securing your exclusive formula

Step 3: the approved formula archived under the client's name

Your tone is archived under your name in the Portal — protected forever and ready for identical, effortless reordering on every future project.

Two FugeMads silicone cartridges floating over a dark stone slab

The design industry has a blind spot. It's about 3-5 mm wide.

Architects will spend months selecting stone. Fabricators will specify edges to a tenth of a millimetre. Interior designers will agonise over paint tones, the exact curve of a tap.

Then the last step — the thing that holds it all together — gets filled with whatever was close enough.

The transition is no one's job. It does not make the brief. Pick a white, pick a grey, move on.

Ask anyone in the industry if they have ever seen a perfect room undermined by the wrong silicone. They will nod. Ask them what they did about it. Nothing. The photographer found a different angle.

FugeMads® exists because that bothered us.
‍
Not the silicone itself — the acceptance.
The idea that a detail this visible was somehow outside the scope of design.

We make the detail that nobody photographs and everybody notices. The transition that lets stone stay stone, tile stay tile, and gives the eye nothing to catch on.

Some clients will pause and ask. Others will not notice at all. We consider both a success. The first means we made something worth examining. The second means we made something that belongs.

A 50-year Inheritance

FugeMads /ˈfuːəˌmas/ — a play on fugemasse, the Danish word for sealant — was founded in 2016 by Mads Henriksen.

Raised in the trade alongside his father and uncle, he inherited over 50 years of combined experience before launching his own vision at just nineteen.

His uncompromising precision soon attracted Denmark's most demanding architects and high-end interior brands.
‍
After a decade in the field, however, the daily reality of the industry became impossible to ignore.

Arriving at a flawless installation armed with ten different generic silicone colors — debating with the client over which was the least bad match — was a broken system.

It became obvious that sealing the transition is only half the job. The appearance of silicone must be a deliberate design choice rather than a practical afterthought.

FugeMads® is the result.

hello@fugemads.com
What sets FugeMads apart?

The industry treats silicone as an afterthought. We treat it as a design decision. We don't use standard colour codes — we formulate from your physical material, down to depth and optical weight. Your formula is then archived exclusively in your name.

How does tone development and exclusivity work?

You supply the physical reference — a tile chip, a stone sample, even a small offcut. We engineer the exact formulation. Once approved, the formula is locked in a private library under your name. No one else has access to it.

What format are the cartridges?

150ml clear cartridges — because we've all got half-dried tubes in a drawer somewhere. Compatible with standard manual guns. The clear cartridge ensures your tone shows true before you even apply it.

Which surfaces and applications is it suited for?

Stone, tile, paint, wood, glass, and metal. Neutral-cure and non-staining, so it is safe on porous natural stone and sensitive surfaces.

Who do you partner with?

Stone suppliers and fabricators. Tile and paint brands. Kitchen manufacturers. Architects and design studios. Luxury developers.

We ensure the integrity of their design is never compromised by standard, mismatched sealants. The material remains the only focus.
